Not A Solution.

I have written about many things I consider injustice, politically incorrect - things that are plain wrong in my not so humble opinion. Quite some of those posts mentioned the U.S. of A. who I have been criticizing repeatedly. Now there's one thing I'd like to get straight - I don't have anything against America or its citizens per se. However, I cannot accept the way America decides what is good for the world, because that way has nothing to do with democracy - quite the contrary. Howard Zinn, the writer of 'A People's History of the United States' - an important book for every world citizen to read* - has written a compact article in the Boston Globe titled 'War Is Not A Solution For Terrorism'. You can find it here. The reason why I keep revisiting this subject is simple - at the latest the war in Iraq should have made clear that no military means exist to successfully install peace and democracy, and the fatal error of Israel thinking they could defeat Hezbollah within a couple of days left them weaker than ever before. The western categories of the world cease to exist. The so-called Third World is fed up with being exploited. Did you ever wonder why a continent like Africa, with huge oil fields and the world's largest diamond mines still is starving? Western companies and corrupt governments, that's where the money goes. We're on the edge of a new age, and if we don't pay attention we'll have to start all over again...
