Do Schools Today Kill Creativity?

TED Talks are held on a regular basis: "Each year, TED hosts some of the world's most fascinating people: Trusted voices and convention-breaking mavericks, icons and geniuses. The talks they deliver have had had such a great impact, we thought they deserved a wider audience. So now - with our sponsor BMW and production partner WNYC/New York Public Radio we're sharing some of the most remarkable TED talks with the world at large. Each week, we'll release a new talk, in audio and video, to download or watch online. For best effect, plan to listen to at least three, start to finish. They have a cumulative effect..." This one here is a brilliant and entertaining speech by Sir Ken Robinson - a must see for everyone who likes to laugh, especially if it is on a serious subject. This is the embedded YouTube video - here's the link to the TED page. It is about 20 minutes long, but more than worth to take a break. On with the programme...

Among others: Halliburton Charged With Selling Nuclear Technology to Iran, Dangers of Genetically Modified Food Confirmed, Cheney's Halliburton Stock Rose Over 3,000% in 2005, Destruction of Rainforests Declared Worst Ever, New Evidence Establishes Dangers of Roundup/Glyphosate... Thanks to the Internet and wonderful, committed groups like Project Censored, the news is getting out to those who want to know." [Resources]

Vivian Stanshall Radio Flashes.

How-Dee one more time! Before it vanishes into the hidden depths of my Hildesheimer plagued grey matter, here's a link for the depraved part of earth's inhabitants: Vivian Stanshall's Radio Flashes. Which actually is a list of performances for BBC Radio 1, broadcasted on Top Gear / John Peel both hosted by the latter. You can find four episodes of Rawlinson End (1975 & 1977) for download on The Perfumed Garden blog - scroll down the list of active sessions until you see four entries Viv Stanshall. They're around 16 to 27 MB though, so you'll need a speedy connection. Plus, btw, the VS Radio Flashes are part of a site dedicated to the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, which holds quite a bit of info on the Bonzos. And others. It's here... if you haven't guessed already. Wohl bekomm's.

S'Bin Awyle.

Happy noo pears y'all. Sbinawyle since I last posted. I'm afraid I won't post more often until spring, due to one reason or another. How-evva, found this piksha while cleaning up my harddisk and thought I'll put it here. For all the experts out there... have a nice '007!
