Noodling Atoms.

One time becomes 2 noodles...

Video Box

This is the original (?) video to Glory Box... click on the picture to go to YT.

Glory Box

Considering the fact that this track is rather old, it doesn't sound dated (although a tad distorted at times) - which might comply to the fact that it's a good one. Very appropriate to the drop in temperature / season change around here... this one's from Roseland Ballroom, NYC 1997.

Progress

Digital Photography Tutorials - to whom it may concern.
Camebridgeincolourdotcom can now be found in the links section to the right. The site offers indepth information about all things digital imagery, plus a gallery featuring stunning pictures of the Cambridge Unversity. Creator Sean McHugh has put great effort into this, and I'm glad I have found it. Well worth a visit!

Sound & Vision II

As much as I like to listen to sounds (music, even!) I enjoy looking at things. Sometimes through things. The whole second half of my life I have taken photographs on almost a daily basis until I couldn't afford buying films and prints at such a large scale. Now with digital photography, I don't need films and prints, and so I have started to take more pictures again about three years ago. While the digital medium allows for things that were much more difficult with analog film (if not impossible) back then, it still has limitations, some of them I am still trying to find a way to work around. However, tonight I stumbled upon a nice site dedicated to artful fotography. It is the site of Scott Stulberg, called asa100. Not only can you find some beautiful pictures there, it also has some great music playing in the background (for the last half hour or so it has only been playing favourites of mine... very strange, in a positive way. And HA! just now it plays some cheesy orchestral film 'music'. Na ja...). So if you have some spare time, spend it over there, and make sure to start with Far Away Places. There's a set of seven thumbnails below the main picture, with arrows to the left and right of them. With those you can select the next / previous set of pikshuz, dontchanooh. Have a nice one!

HDR, Me Tells Ya.

Well, you know the relation between pictures and garrulity - a picture is worth a thousand adjectives. This is my first step into HDR photography. High Dynamic Range, that is. In reality, the scene was rather unspectacular, if not boring. But fiddling with some sliders resulted in this, which could well be Franken Stein's new domicile. Or whatever his name was again.

Herbie & Quincy...

Since I don't have much to say using words these days... here's a nice one from 1983 (I believe) where Herbie Hancock shows Quincy Jones his new toy, a Fairlight CMI - the milestone in electronic instruments back then.
